Recently, the experts from “Rusatom Healthcare” JSC and NIIEFA JSC completed one of the most important stages of the cyclotron-radiochemical complex project in the Kingdom of Thailand. The Russian team, headed by “Rusatom Healthcare” JSC project expert Ilya Grigoryev and NIIEFA JSC head of the ion accelerator department Roman Klopenkov organized in-depth training on the maintenance of cyclotron complexes for the Thailand Institute of Nuclear Technology (TINT) representatives. The training took part from May 30 to June 03, 2022, on the territory of the Russian Scientific Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies, named after academician A. M. Granov.

TINT delegation was led by the Head of the Cyclotron section, Akkapob Ngamlamiad. Even though the cyclotron complex being built in Thailand has several technical differences compared to the cyclotron complex installed at the Russian Scientific Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies, the experts managed to adapt the training program to the current conditions. During the training, Thailand representatives could enhance their knowledge in regular maintenance of the cyclotron complex, radiation, and electrical safety during maintenance, troubleshooting of external injection systems, water cooling, high-frequency power supply and acceleration, vacuum and pneumatic systems, and others.
