The award ceremony of the winners of the sports competitions - the Project Manager Cup dedicated to the Victory Day was held on May 9th, at the sports center of Green City village, Rooppur NPP project (the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, general designer and general contractor - Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division).
Prizes and gifts were awarded by Maxim Latyshev, Director of ASE JSC Branch Office in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Over 550 sportsmen from companies of the Engineering Division (ASE JSC, Atomenergoproekt JSC, NIKIMT-Atomstroy JSC, RosSEM Trust LLC, Energospetsmontazh JSC, SMU No 1 LLC, VDMU LLC) and external subcontractors (Rosenergoatom JSC, JSC FCS&HT “SNPO “Eleron”, AK ESKM, Orgenergostroy JSC, AMT-Engineering, MAX Group, Roin World) participated in the competitions in 13 athletic disciplines.
Representatives of the Engineering Division were the most active contestants: RosSEM Trust LLC won 23 medals, ASE JSC - 14 medals, NIKIMT-Atomstroy JSC and Energospetsmontazh JSC - 11 medals each.
“The competitions were unprecedented in the history of sports life of Rooppur in terms of the number of the participants, athletic disciplines, intensity of emotions and the sports sites involved. The specialists of the Engineering Division demonstrate their professional skills every day, but their success in sports are not any worse. We are happy to have such a united, strong and dedicated team. It makes us confident that we can meet any challenges, and the number of people who go in for sports and participate in the sports life of the project will keep growing”, said Alexey Deriy, Vice President of ASE JSC - Director of Rooppur NPP construction project.
The competitions were organized and held in in the shortest possible time, with the support of the Center for Modern Sports Technologies of Rosenergoatom JSC. The chief arbiter of the competitions was Anna Leonova, instructor of the Center.
“Systematic work in the field of physical culture and sports at Rooppur NPP construction site has helped us to establish a pool of athletes. We will continue to support employees’ initiatives and create conditions for the development of social and sports infrastructure”, said Natalia Shafalovich, Vice President for HR and Internal Communications of ASE JSC.
